pad contact adjustment is the difference between juicy 5 and 7. all it does is adjust when the brake bites during the movement of the lever. like if you have pad contact adjusted all the way out during the early stroke of your lever movement the brake will engage. you should play with one before you make your choice between the 2 brakes. PERSONALLY i've never liked avid....hayes has ALWAYS been good to me PERIOD.

i think there are some trails around hes estates but for trails go for muskeg creek. i dunno im really thinking hard lol
